Youth-Welfare

Youth Welfare Department stays active throughout the year by providing the platform to the students of the college to exhibit their talents. They win laurels for the institution with their unmatchable performances. It stays connected with the cultural organisations for conducting state, national and international level cultural programmes.

  • Youth welfare department also undertakes various projects of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and Khalsa College. Youth Welfare Department has also exhibited wonderful performances in International Folk Festival, GNDU Youth festival (zonal, inter-zonal and national competition) and Khalsa Youth Festival. 
  • The students of Khalsa College for Women have got the opportunity for singing in professional studios of distinct companies.
  • They have also got the honour of reaching in ‘Mega Round’ of Voice of Punjab Programme. 
  • Students of Khalsa college for women have performed remarkably in other events like Lok Sabhyacharak pirh, Sunakhi Punjaban Mutiyar Competition, Wasda Punjab Bhangra Academia California, Khetri Saras Mela Amritsar, Sunakhi Mutiyar and Sohna Gabru Competition.
  • Miss Shruti, student of Music Department was honoured with Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Memorial Award, Personality Award and International Folk Festival Amritsar Heritage Award. 
  • Miss shelly Manan won in Zonal & Inter-Zonal competitions in GNDU Youth Festival. 
  • Miss Shelly Manan also participated in National Youth Parliament Competition which was organised by NSS Department. 
  • Harmanpreet Kaur raised the pride of instition by winning the first runners up trophy in ‘Voice of Punjab’. 
  • Miss Supinder Kaur has earned the title of ‘Sohni Surat’ in Sunakhi Mutiyar Competition, Lok Sabhyacharak pirh, Gurdaspur, and Wasda Punjab Bhangra Academy California. 
  • Arshdeep kaur earned the title of Sunakhi Mutiyar and Sohna Gabru Competition from Khalsa College, Amritsar
  • Riya Sharma received a cash prize of 5100 rupees for the Best Actor Award in Inter-college Lovedeep Singh Yadgiri Yuva Puraskar.
  • Youth Welfare Department organises Khalsa Youth Festival every year.
